X Rated

Released in the Fall / Winter 1987 collection, the Swatch X Rated hit the scene. Bought my first one off a kid I went to school with in the 9th grade and paid $20.00 for it.  I was psyched to say the least.  After gazing through countless straight edge records and fanzines of the day, I almost felt incomplete without one.  Once I had it, I treasured it and treated it like gold.  Twenty years later and the X Rated is still ticking, still worn on a regular basis and still the coolest watch I've ever owned.   -TM

  3. The janitor at my high school had one, and I had a newer swatch. I wanted the X so bad. One day I asked if he wanted to trade Swatches...and to my surprise he said yes. People thought I was crazy to trade with the janitor, but I didn't care. I had the best Swatch ever.

  5. I never did get an actual Swatch X-Rated watch when they were out, I finally found a knock off and bought it. Still wear it all these years later. Those real ones go for so much $$$$ on Ebay!!!

  6. I've had a couple of rev watches, both of which the second hand has fallen loose and the arms bands have broken while wearing in the pit. I recently paid way too much money for a real one on ebay and just got it in the mail today. It is beautiful and came unworn and in its original packaging. It was expensive but i owe it to myself. I will treaeure this one for sure.

  7. Unfortunately, mine stopped working a few years ago. I still keep it around, and I've been thinking about having it sent off to the Netherlands, so they can rebuild it.

  8. i was as silly as all these people that are willing to pay huge amounts for this watch. i looked for it for years, tried to swap mine brand new swatch, and finally found it. it wasn't a janitor though. i wore it for years, it's beaten, it's bruised but still works. apart from that little wheel used for tuning, it wore out literally. anyway, i don't wear it anymore. and i hope whoever posted the picture doesn't own all of those. that's way beyond all collector lameness

  9. Got mine when it first came out and I can't remember if I had seen it on someone first or thought "that's a killer SxE watch" when I saw it at the store...had it for years and sold it a few years back

  10. I'm worried, my swatch has no text on the top and the bottom font is darker than all the other swatches I've seen. Anyone see this before?

  12. It can't work as a matter of fact, that's exactly what I consider.
