McRad

After getting their start opening for Minor Threat, McRad rose to fame in the skateboard world after being featured in Stacey Peralta and Cr Stecyk's 1988 movie Public Domain. The leader of McRad, Chuck Treece along with Ray Barbee and CR Stecyk tell the story of the band and its place in skateboard history. Documented by Eric Pritchard.

  2. Oh shit that was awesome. I first heard McRad when Public Domain came out, and didn't know they were from Philly until many years later. Rad footage of Groholski's ramp!

  4. I remember going to see McRad at CB's. As I walked up, I saw a guy skating the center island on Bowery and falling a lot. I was like "that can't be Chuck Treece". A few hours later I saw him on stage doing his thing. All-around talent. Great show. They opened for Underdog.
    If anyone comes across the show they did on WFMU, it's a great listen.
