no one cares...
ReplyDeleteAnyone ever listen to Chuck's solo album Dream'n put out by Caroline around the same time as this video?
ReplyDeleteNot very "punk",a little cheesy, but something about was catchy & stuck with me. I can see how many wouldn't like it. I'm sure it can downloaded somewhere. Worth a listen.
Chuck's solo stuff was pretty good as is his stuff with McRad, plus Chuck played in the Bad Brains, Underdog, Insight and Voicebox, so all that right there is reason enough for people to care. Hey, I care! Thanks for posting DCXX!
ReplyDeleteThe music he's playing in this tv clip sounds rad and makes me want to skate.
ReplyDeletedon't forget Chuck Treece helping The Goats on one of the greatest hip hop albums ever.
ReplyDeleteI still have this on a VHS. It got me so pumped - i used to watch it over and over. Chuck was the man.
I still have "Dream'n" cd - i was lite and not punk - but it was a good skate vibe. i also have "Supergrub",
what a inspirational dude (not to get too posi). But when i was 13 in 1990 - man that he made a living doing music and skating - and that was his life - woah....that was the world to me.
I remember watching this when it aired. I recorded every episode of Sk8TV and watched them over and over back then.
